We are seeking a highly motivated Scientist to join a dynamic team within the Bispecifics department. You will be focused on supporting the development of cutting-edge Cell & Gene therapies. We hope you are excited to work methodically, independently, and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
As a Scientist within the Bispecifics group, a typical day might include: Maintaining and manipulating mammalian cell cultures (immortalized cells and primary cell cultures)Harvesting and preparing large numbers of primary T cellsDesigning and cloning retroviral vector constructs.Running cell-based assays to characterize and assess transgene expression and activity: viral transduction, multiparameter flow cytometry, Western blot etc.Performing basic molecular biology techniques (DNA/RNA extractions, quantitative PCR (ddPCR), Sanger sequencing etc.)Performing basic biochemical/immunological assays (ELISA, MSD, Incucyte)This role may be for you if you: Have an affinity for cell engineering, process and technology development-focused projectsAre passionate about innovation and desire to help lead new scientific directionsYou are a quick learner and wish to expand your skill set and learn new techniquesAre confident with multitasking and adapting quickly to changes in prioritiesExemplify a strong collaborative spirit and are scientifically rigorousPossess a keen attention to detail and time management skillsIn order to be considered for this role, you must have at least a BS/MS degree in Immunology, Cellular Biology, Molecular Biology, or a related field and 6+ years of relevant lab experience. A Ph.D. and 0-3 years of relevant experience will also be considered. Must have experience with multi-color flow cytometry and maintaining cell lines. Experience in generation of CAR-T cells, cell culture maintenance and manipulation (selection, activation, expansion, transfection, viral transduction, cryopreservation) is required. Development of cell-based assays for immunophenotyping (flow cytometry and analysis, MSD/ELISA) and expertise in molecular biology techniques (molecular cloning, nucleic acids extraction, PCR) is strongly preferred. Experience in CRISPR-based gene editing and/or in designing and performing in vivo tumor studies would be a plus.
