Scrub Nurse Position Details The Scrub Nurse will be responsible for scrubbing for surgical procedures, sterile processing, and ordering of surgical supplies. The Scrub Nurse:
Is knowledgeable of all operative procedures and surgical equipment. Demonstrates the ability to set up and operate instruments, sutures, and equipment used in operative procedures. Efficiently and effectively aids the surgeon. Demonstrates knowledge of basic anatomy by anticipating and providing for the surgeon's needs during the case. Demonstrates the ability to integrate into sterile processing duties. Monitors the purchasing and stocking of all surgical supplies by reviewing PAR levels and the upcoming surgery schedules. Submits requisitions and tracks orders to ensure critical supplies are received within needed timeframe. Establishes and keeps supply levels current for all disposable supplies kept in the surgery department; maintains adequate inventory of instruments in working condition. Establishes and maintains an inventory system for all supplies and equipment inclusive of purchase dates, warranty information, serial and model numbers. What You Offer Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the state of Minnesota. Prior surgery nursing experience and/or surgical tech experience required. Work Schedule 72 hours per biweekly pay period. This position is primarily Monday-Friday, 6:00am-2:30pm. This position participates in the call schedule rotation, which includes every 4th night, every 4th weekend, and holidays.
