We are searching for a Project Manager that will join our team in our Chicago office.
The qualified candidate will be responsible for supporting SpiderRock's technology initiatives who will oversee, plan and implement projects in collaboration with the development team, desk support, and Dev Ops team.
This role will have direct reports and will be reporting directly to the Chief of Enterprise Ops.
WHAT YOU WILL DO Oversee, plan and implement multiple projects and coordinates across other Agile teams for complex projects.
Monitor project milestones and take proactive steps to mitigate risk.
Guides other scrum coordinators in the implementation of quality standards and recommends changes to improve the Agile process.
Help define project scope, goals, and deliverables.
Define tasks and required resources.
Create and maintain project plan and documentation.
Facilitate standup, planning and project review meetings.
Manage multiple small projects and coordinating the development team activity.
Meet with teams to take detailed assessment and clarify specific requirements of each project.
Work with developers, client help desk, infrastructure and dev ops teams and maintain all aspects of overseeing client bugs, new client features, client integration project and coordinating development projects.
Report on project progress, track deliverables and risks to management.
Present to stakeholders reports on progress as well as problems and solutions.
Implement and manage change when necessary to meet project outputs.
Evaluate and assess result of project.
Train developers and other key staff in project management tools and practices.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR 4-year college degree in Business, Computer Science, or related discipline or equivalent work experience 5 years' experience leading teams and/or managing complex IT projects Managing financial market technology projects markets a huge plus.
Working knowledge of project management tools (Jira, Confluence, Bamboo, MS Projects, Kanban) PMP Certification a plus Strong initiative; proven track record of taking ownership of projects through successful completion.
Experience leading team meetings, assigning action items and tasks, and managing overall project tracking.
Familiarity with PMI Body of Knowledge desired.
Experience with Scrum framework and/or agile methodology is a plus.
Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and responsibilities.
