REGENT is building the seaglider; the first electric flying machine that will transport commercial passengers.  With a vehicle that never flies higher than a few meters off the water, we unlock the ability to fly twice as far as an electric aircraft, and certification by maritime authorities which will let us fly first passengers by mid-decade.
We are actively hiring passionate interns who can help us get our vehicle to market as quickly and safely as possible. We are backed by the world's best investors: the same investors who are behind SpaceX, Palantir, Boom Supersonic, and more. We have over $9B in provisional orders from some of the industry's largest operators and are hitting the ground running.
We are seeking passionate and experienced interns to test our seagliders and drive significant progress in our testing schedule. You will work closely with designers and builders of our full-scale prototype seaglider to test the systems and subsystems in preparation for foiling and flying. 
As your tests develop, you will be involved throughout the process from planning, designing and building test rigs, set-up, test execution, data analysis, and reporting. 
The ideal candidate will have a background in designing or testing complex interconnected systems, aircraft, boats, robots, or rockets, and is experienced with data analysis and reporting.
\n Roles & Responsibilities: Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams, including systems, hardware, software, and mechanical engineers, to define test requirements and plans Maintain and modify components of the instrumentation system on the vehicle, including hardware, electronic, and software design Call & lead technical meetings to investigate the information you need for test planning and conducting test readiness reviews Analyze test data to come to data-driven conclusions on performance, risk, and next steps Present in design reviews, risk assessments, and test debriefs; take constructive feedback  Required Qualifications and SkillsPursuing a Bachelor of Science in engineering, physics, math, or computer science? Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and present technical information Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex system behaviors to identify root cause issues Data analysis in Julia, R, or exceptional experience in MATLAB or python? Rapid prototype experience, preferably on an engineering team or competition?  Desired Qualifications and Skills:Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while managing multiple priorities and tasks? Experience in testing or certification of complex systems? Experience with aviation, marine, or auto repair and maintenance? Hobby in aircraft, boats, cars, rockets, or robotics?  On Job Training: Process & analyze data from foiling and flight tests Integrate real data into our high-fidelity simulation system Make design recommendations based on the data you report Investigate functional hazard assessments in flight software, hardware, and structures to mitigate risks in flight test
