JOB TITLE: Seasonal Natural Resources Technician
DEPARTMENT: Meskwaki Natural Resources
CLASSIFICATION: Non-exempt
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Bison Operation: minor fence repairs, daily fence and water system checks, perform manual round up with team (Pre-training required) Light equipment maintenance: cleaning, check fluids, air tires, etc.. Assist with field surveys and water monitoring as sampling information and data collection and compilation of same, for grant reporting purposes. Light custodial maintenance. Assist with water quality sampling. Assist with air quality monitoring duties. Other duties as assigned REQUIREMENTS: Must have a valid driver's license and be insurable. Ability to or aptitude to learn atv, utv and mid-sized equipment operations. Ability to or aptitude to learn operation of hand tools and small powered tools. Ability to bend, stoop, lift up to 50lbs and work outdoors in inclement weather of all types. Ability to follow instructions and contribute in a team setting.
