We are an amazing team, that works hard to support each other and are seeking a phenomenal addition like you, who feels patient care is as meaningful as we do.Seasonal Program Requirements – Seasonal PRN Status with a Full-Time Schedule – Program Runs 8/25/24-4/5/25All seasonal RNs are required to work a minimum of 72 hours per pay period during the seasonal periodWithin a close geography, you may be asked to float to another facility that has an emergent staffing needFour (4) weekend shifts are required each 4 week schedule periodDuring the course of the 32-week period, the employee is required to work two (2) holiday shifts (defined by Department Manager or designee)Seasonal Staff are PRN status employees and are subject to first call-off. There are no guaranteed hours by the hospitalSeasonal Staff will not be eligible for benefits, except 401(k) and retirement contribution per the PRN policySeasonal Staff will not be eligible for extra shift bonusesRegistered Nurses who are in the Seasonal program will have one opportunity to pass the clinical competency evaluationCurrent FT/PT & PRN Level 3 employees are not eligible to join the Seasonal program for 2024-2025 with the exception of RNs that participated in the Seasonal program in the previous yearCurrent employees of HWS are not eligible for the seasonal programShifts may vary based on the needs of the departmentWhat you will do in this role:Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and provide direct patient carePlan, implement and evaluate patient care plans to optimize outcomes and maximize available resourcesSupervise non-licensed nursing staff within the RN scope of practice and in accordance with established policiesIncorporate teaching into all aspects of nursing practiceWhat qualifications you will need:ADN is required / BSN is preferred and required within 2 years of hireTexas State RN license or compact license is acceptedBasic Life Support (BLS) issued by either the American Heart Association or American Red Cross requiredPediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)Must have one (1) year recent PICU RN experience in an acute care hospitalMedical City Dallas is recognized for its advanced medical facilities and commitment to excellence in patient care.
