Security Alarm Technician SafeTouch Security, a recognized company serving the community for more than 30 years, values its employees as the cornerstone of its success. Position Overview: The Alarm Technician will be responsible for installing, configuring, servicing, and maintaining alarm systems for residential and commercial clients. The Alarm Tech will play a crucial role in ensuring the effective operation and reliability of security alarm systems to provide our customers with peace of mind. This is a three-tiered position with increasing levels of responsibility and expertise. Duties and Responsibilities: Assist senior technicians in the installation and setup of alarm systems. Assist with routing wires, mounting sensors, and installing control panels. Conduct basic testing and troubleshooting of alarm systems to ensure proper functionality. Assist with system programming and configuration. Complete documentation and paperwork related to installation and service activities. Learn and follow industry best practices and safety protocols. Perform basic system installations and service repairs independently. Provide exceptional customer service and address customer inquiries or concerns. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent. Basic understanding of low-voltage electrical systems, PCs and networking. Strong technical aptitude and willingness to learn. Detail-oriented. Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Ability to work well independently and in a team environment. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with employees, customers, and vendors. Score a minimum of 90% on the technician scorecard within Alarm.com monthly. Ability to pass drug screening and background requirements. Valid driver's license and insurance-approved driving record. Maintain less than 3 points on fleet driving policy. Physical Requirements Climb ladders, access attics or crawl spaces, kneel, and crawl. Perform physical tasks associated with the job. Lift up to 50 pounds. Job Type Full-time, non-exempt. Monday Friday. Overtime required as business needs dictate. On-call on a rotational basis.
