Vast is looking for a Full Time Security Officer to support our Mojave, CA site. As a Security Officer, you will work directly with the Principle Security Officer to develop and implement security procedures for our test site.
This is a non-exempt position based out of our Mojave, CA facility.
We are currently hiring for the below schedules:
Weekday Morning Shift: Monday-Friday: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PMResponsibilities: Assist guests with the ENVOY check-in processVerify ID and POC of visitorsIssue the appropriate visitor/temp employee badgesPatrol all buildings and sitesObserve and report all suspicious activityReport and document all incidents to Security ManagementAssist other departments as neededOther duties as assignedMinimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalency certificateCA BSIS Guard card2+ years of professional experience in security operations in an industrial environmentPreferred Skills & Experience: High level of customer service skillsArticulate and politeThe ability to verbally de-escalate a situationBSIS or other security trainingThe ability to work independentlyAdditional Requirements: Must be available to work all required shift hours, overtime, and weekends, to support critical mission milestonesMust be able to work in severe climate conditions: heat, wind, and coldPay Range: Security Officer: $23.00 / per hour (+10% hourly rate differential for night shift)Salary Range: California
