Summary
The Security Guard protects company personnel, customers and assets. This role acts as a first responders in case of illness or injury and monitors assigned facilities to ensure a safe and secure environment. This position also aids in creating an exceptional customer experience for our dispensary patients.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Monitors and controls access at all building entrances.
Monitors alarm systems, video cameras, and detection equipment.
Patrols and assigned location looking for signs of crime or disorder and investigates issues and/or disturbances
Writes incident reports relating to criminal, medical, or nuisance/activity.
Ensures all incidents are recorded in security log
Investigates, documents, and reports on all suspicious incidents.
Conducts building patrols and perimeter walks at assigned dispensaries and cultivation facilities
Watches for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards and mitigates risk where possible by removing hazards
Warns violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, trespassing, straw purchases or other violations
Permits authorized personnel to enter property and monitors individuals entering and exiting the building to ensure all employees, visitors and customers are complying with facility access regulations
Observes departing personnel to protect against theft of company property and ensure that removal of property is conducted within appropriate and authorized requirements
Provide assistance to customers, employees and visitors in a courteous and professional manner.
Sounds alarms or contacts police or fire department in case of fire, robbery, or the presence of unauthorized persons
Acts lawfully in the use of force for the direct defense of life or property.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Job Requirement
High school diploma or equivalent MUST HAVE NJ SORA guard card level 1 or 2.Prior security experience is required.Familiar with Camera systems and pulling footage.Experience with retail operations and loss preventionMust possess a valid Driver's License Certification in CPR, First Aid, and use of AED Must possess a valid state "guard card" where required Demonstrated attention to detail with the ability to view multiple monitors simultaneously Ability to interact cordially and communicate effectively with the public and staff.
