Job DescriptionJOB SUMMARY:
Provide security services to protect the employees, visitors, patients, and facility at regional Carle outpatient locations. Maintain a safe environment and ensure building access control measures are maintained. Officer may be called to assist with security services at other sites including the main campus.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS:
Driver's License upon hire and Firearm Owners Identification (FOID) Card within 6 months.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Security experience preferred.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Taser Certification, OC Pepper Foam Certification, and Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Certification SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
Effectively communicate with employees and customers. Writing skills. Able to complete security incident reports.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Monitor perimeter and interior doors/areas and watch for unauthorized access.Patrol building and grounds for safety and security issues/hazards and investigate.Monitor cameras.Assist staff with potential security issues and intervene when necessary.Provide employees with security awareness education.Provide customer service support for patients, visitors, and staff.Assist staff and visitors with Emergency Management events.All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or status as a protected veteran.
