PAY INFORMATION $65,000 - $75,000 Annual Salary
Exempt position (not eligible for overtime under state law)
THE POSITION We are looking for a Patrol Captain to join our team to lead and supervise patrol officers and operations. This position will provide security and safety of critical sites, employees, vendors, visitors, and overall, the general public in the Denver and Denver Metros Areas. This position will be enforcing security procedures throughout a site or multiple sites. It is important that this position must be able to collaborate with the other members of our team to limit any potential risks. We expect each infraction to be thoroughly investigated and properly documented. In addition, the Patrol Captain must be able to manage schedules, ensure that all shifts are covered at all times, fill in where needed, provide guidance/management to the Patrol Lieutenants and officers, and support the General Managers as needed.
\n Core ResponsibilitiesProvide a security presence at our client's site(s) to detect and deter all possible threats. Must be able to perform a variety of fixed-post, mobile, or foot patrols while maintaining situational awareness and making decisions and/or taking actions consistent with established post orders, facility rules, guidelines, and protocols.Provide a first layer defense against active threats, trespassers, and unauthorized persons on site(s).Visibly watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards. Provide access control and the monitoring of entrances, exits, perimeters, and surrounding areas.Through roving patrols, monitor vehicular and pedestrian traffic. Ability to conduct traffic control as needed.Identify, report, delay or detain persons who violate rules and regulations.Maintain a professional work environment which provides the highest level of customer service while maintaining the highest level of safety and security. Ability to work independently and to adapt to various work-paces while always maintaining a high-level of attentiveness and energy.Ability to work in partnership with local law enforcement agencies, fire departments, military units and local, state and government agencies.Safeguard and maintain highly sensitive and confidential information.Conduct ongoing threat, risk, and vulnerability assessments at assigned sites.Exercise sound operational judgment and flexibility to shifting priorities and challenges.Provide customer service to our client by carrying out safety and security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.Respond to and submit reports on all security incidents.Provide leadership and supervision to Patrol Lieutenants and Officers.Support and assist the General Managers.Support Patrol operations however needed. Qualification RequirementsProvide credible references and I-9 Employment Eligibility Documentation (legal eligibility to work in the U.S.).Previous security or law enforcement experience is required.Must have a high school diploma or GED. Ability to perform job tasks in an extremely professional manner in a customer service driven industry.Must be familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures to be able to rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals and key performance indicators.Must be able to perform a variety of tasks.Must be able to lead and direct the work of others.Reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language.Ability to stand and walk for several hours per shift.Reliable transportation and proximity to site(s).Basic computer skills.Positive attitude.Punctuality, never late.Must own a smartphone for scheduling and clocking in / out.Experience in CPR, first aid, firefighting and crowd control is preferred, but not required.
