POSITION PURPOSE:
To provide security support for the Joint Staff Security Officer Hampton Roads.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Support JSSO-HR customers by responding to queries, requests for assistance, and providing subject matter expertise. Must provide professional, courteous, timely, and accurate responses to Joint Staff customers at all times.Process incoming and outgoing visit requests, ensuring they are properly downloaded through NBIS and annotated in the Security Database.Determine personnel eligibility and issue ID badges to permanently assigned personnel; issue access badges to appropriately cleared visitors; collect and inventory access badges. Issue badges to eligible personnel and visitors. Download visit requests initiated through NBIS into the Security Database as required. Prepare outgoing visit request messages via the Multi-Media Message Traffic (M-3), DISS, JSSO-HR Portal form, fax or e-mail. Issue Visitor Passes.Issue Parking Passes. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Experience: High School Diploma Required.3 years security experience. Skills and Abilities: Customer Service skills are essential.Must be proficient in all MS Office Suites.Must have working knowledge of DISS and NBIS.Must possess excellent organizational/communications skills and ability to effectively interact with staff at all levels. Special Requirements: Must have an active Secret Clearance.Top Secret Clearance preferred. PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
This position is primarily sedentary. While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be sitting for long periods of time but will also be required to stand, walk, and communicate with others.
