We are in search of a Security Officer to join our Grand team at our 1,300 acre Grand Geneva Resort & Spa in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin. Essential Functions: Ensure resort safety functions such included but not limited to: Monthly fire extinguisher inspections Facilitate proactive evacuation drills and exercises OSHA compliance standards Manage the 3E program and proactively audit SDS compliance Conduct a minimum of (5) proactive safety inspections weekly Submit and save for the permanent record all reports required of the Safety Supervisor to ensure professional accuracy and timely submission. Establish and maintain an effective relationship with all department management, staff, personnel, and general public. Assist with the Internal Annual Safety & Security Audit, including if necessary, facilitating or scheduling training classes & additional inspections. Meet weekly with the Security Director for effective communication and goal setting. Perform other duties as assigned. Position Requirements: High School diploma required; Bachelor's Degree preferred. Must possess exceptional people skills, effective writing ability, and logical thinking ability. Previous experience in a safety/security role, preferably in the hospitality industry. Knowledge of safety practices. Must have a customer service mentality. Knowledge of local laws and ordinances. Must be able to stand, walk, sit, use hands, and reach for more than half of the normal work day. Must pass MVR background check. Reporting Relationship This position reports to the Security Director.
