The Lower Colorado River Authority (LCRA) is seeking a senior security systems technician to join our end-user physical security team based in the San Angelo/ McCamey service area to help safeguard some of Central Texas' most vital infrastructure.
In this role our selected candidate would be responsible for the installation, programming, maintenance and repair of enterprise level physical security systems. We are looking for someone experienced in IP-based access controllers, video surveillance and intercom systems. The ability to troubleshoot system problems is a must, and experience with thermal analytics intrusion detection and Physical Security Information Systems (PSIM) is preferred.
You will be trusted to:
- Install programs, document, set up, wire, repair or replace IP video surveillance equipment used to obtain and transmit video signals between various locations. This includes cameras, network video recorders, video management systems, fiber optic transmission, and control equipment.
- Use computer software to generate reports, program systems and produce system documentation
- Perform work by traveling independently or with a small crew to various locations as scheduled.
You qualify with:
- Seven or more years of experience in a combination of installation, configuration, troubleshooting and repair of electronic security and/or monitoring systems, or relevant experience. A degree(s) in electronics or relevant field may be substituted per LCRA guidelines for certain years of experience.
- Driver's license
- Pass the CJIS fingerprint-based background investigation according to the State of Texas standards
- Maintain currency with all CJIS training requirements
