We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Security Technician!
The Security Tech functions guard, patrol, or monitor premises to prevent theft, violence, or infractions of rules.
This position provides support as an active part of the treatment team, providing continuous patient care, supervision, interaction, and role modeling to patients ranging in age from pre- school through geriatrics.
Security Techs work under the direction of the RN supervisor.
Security
1.
Patrol premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure security of doors, windows, and gates.
2.
Answer alarms and investigate disturbances.
3.
Call police or fire departments in cases of emergency, such as fire or presence of unauthorized persons.
4.
Operate detecting devices to screen individuals and prevent passage of prohibited articles into restricted areas.
5.
Answer telephone calls to take messages, answer questions, and provide information during non- business hours or when switchboard is closed.
6.
Escort individuals to specified locations and to provide personal protection.
7.
Write reports of daily activities and irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences.
8.
Inspect and adjust security systems, equipment, and machinery to ensure operational use and to detect evidence of tampering.

Qualifications Education: High School Degree or equivalent preferred
Experience: Three to five years experience in the field of law enforcement; or equivalent combination of education and experience, preferably in a health care business office setting or in a hospital setting.
Licensure: Must maintain a valid driver's license in the applicable state.
Additional Requirements: Successful completion CPR/First & CPI Training within 90 days of employment and prior to assisting with restraining procedures.
May be required to work overtime and flexible hours.
