Seeking Medical Oncologist In Bend, Oregon

Position Overview:The Medical Oncologist will provide compassionate, high-quality care throughout the course of cancer treatment, including systemic therapies and coordination with interdisciplinary teams.
This role involves both clinical excellence and active participation in patient-centered care, research, and education.
Key Responsibilities:
Clinical Duties:
Diagnose and treat cancer patients, aligning treatment goals with patient values.Deliver evidence-based care, including systemic therapies and supportive care.Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive, seamless patient care.Participate in clinical trials and research to explore innovative therapies.Supervise advanced practice providers and medication administration.Rotate call coverage with other oncology providers.Essential Functions:
Lead by example, supporting St. Charles Health System's vision, mission, and values.Foster a healing environment with compassionate and patient-centered care.Support quality improvement efforts and organizational policies.Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and compliance with all regulations and policies.Keep licenses and certifications current to uphold privileges within St. Charles Health System hospitals.Qualifications:
Education:
MD/DO from an accredited medical school.Completion of a Hematology-Oncology fellowship following an Internal Medicine residency.Participation in ongoing education, including annual CME and safety trainings.Licensure/Certification:
Board certification or eligibility in Medical Oncology.Current, unrestricted medical license and DEA certification.BLS (and ACLS if practicing sedation) certification.Oregon medical licensure preferred.Experience:
Required: Experience in both hospital and outpatient oncology care, with proficiency in EMR systems.Preferred: Two years of active oncology practice and familiarity with Epic EMR.Benefits of Working at St. Charles Health System:
