AKQA, a global agency renowned for its commitment to innovation and creativity, is seeking a Senior Account Director to join our vibrant team. This role will be based in New York and associated with our AKQA Los Angeles studio.
Our Los Angeles studio offers team members the opportunity to produce meaningful work for world-class companies and institutions in one of the world's most vibrant cities.
Role Overview:As the Senior Account Director, you will play a pivotal role in understanding the client's business, AKQA processes, team skills, and financials. You will take charge of fostering strong relationships with senior clients while managing a multidisciplinary team. Your responsibilities will include financial reporting, team well-being, account status updates, onboarding, training, and providing guidance to support staff. Additionally, you will confidently address brand, program, and account needs at all levels.
Role Requirements:Proven track record in account management, apparel and lifestyle brand experience a plus10-12+ years experience in program and client management within an agency; embedded client-team experience highly desiredWilling and able to travel up to 4 weeks per year, including international travelBackground in fully integrated, strategic account management, able to work in a hands-on capacity from ideation to deliverableAbility to lead diverse teams and manage large multi-disciplinary teams within an agencyDeliver detailed and accurate account and project reports regularlyEstablish strong relationships with lead clientsConduct meticulous reporting, planning, and costing of accountsInteract with clients regularly, attend recurring client meetings, and manage account reporting and trackingUtilize AKQA's and client's software and systems for effective team communication and collaborationManage and monitor specialists and subcontractors to maintain quality and guidelinesResolve client and team issues in a positive, solutions-oriented manner while maintaining strong financials and relationshipsManage and support onsite team managers and discipline leads to execute tasks across the accountProject management experience is a plus, including scoping, estimate creation, and project executionQualities and Characteristics:Ability to manage the big picture while delivering day-to-day executionsRigorous in organization and management, conscientious, and adept in solving issues at all levelsAbility to inspire, support, and understand the interplay between people, processes, and systemsSharp attention to detail and a drive for perfectionJoin us in fostering an inclusive culture that values diversity and creativity. The base salary range for this position at the time of this posting is indicated below. Individual compensation varies based on job-related factors, including location, business needs, level of responsibility, experience, and qualifications. Explore our extensive range of benefits here.
