Marketing General Incorporated (MGI), a Taylor Corporation company, is seeking a Senior Account Director to lead a dedicated team to deliver comprehensive marketing solutions for our association clients.
In this role, you'll act as a trusted advisor, providing expert marketing strategies, managing budgets, and ensuring seamless execution of projects.
You will oversee the implementation of marketing programs, monitor their performance, and drive continuous improvement.
Additionally, you will spearhead strategic initiatives, contribute to the development of innovative products and services, and ensure the successful delivery of all marketing campaigns and initiatives for our clients.
Your Responsibilities: Provide strong leadership and guidance to the assigned account team, overseeing account and personnel management. Lead the strategic development and implementation of effective marketing plans in collaboration with the assigned account team, ensuring work is prioritized and allocated to meet client needs, project deadlines, and gross profit objectives. Manage client finances, including budget management, forecasting, and invoicing processes. Negotiate contract renewals with existing clients to ensure long-term retention of all clients. Evaluate all project concepts and program performance and ensure overall marketing effectiveness. Collaborate with the Sales team on new business efforts, providing strategic guidance or directly participating in sales discussions as needed. Develop and sell new, revenue-producing programs and services to clients, either directly or by assisting staff. Oversee the recruitment, selection, hiring, supervision, training, professional development, and mentoring of all staff in the assigned group. You Must Have: An undergraduate degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, with at least 10 years of total work experience.
Preferably, this includes a minimum of 7 years in a senior role managing projects or teams within an association or marketing agency. Proven experience in people management and leading a team, with a demonstrated ability to motivate, mentor, and develop team members to achieve organizational goals and deliver high-quality results. Superior knowledge of direct response marketing and general marketing concepts, digital marketing, printing, mailing and data services industries. Must be able to operate a variety of office technology and have excellent PC skills to include Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Must demonstrate a professional demeanor, outstanding interpersonal skills, the ability to deliver quality customer services, excellent organization skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to effectively accomplish multiple tasks. Superior analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to personally manage or supervise project management to ensure that client projects are implemented on time and within budget. Must be available to travel locally and to out-of-town meetings when necessary. This role offers the flexibility of remote work.
