POSITION: Senior Accountant/Accounting Manager
JOB DESCRIPTION: Sound Payments Inc. is looking for a Senior Accountant/Accounting Manager to lead and support finance, business planning, and budgeting for Sound Payments. This position plays a critical role in corporate decision-making and is part of the senior leadership team.
DESIRED SKILLS, TASKS AND JOB REQUIREMENTS: Oversee day-to-day accounting activities, including accounts payable/receivable, billing, general ledger entries, and bank reconciliations. Manage the accounting system, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with applicable financial regulations and policies. Implement accounting policies, controls and procedures that appropriately reflect the financial position and results of operations. Manage and perform monthly and annual closing processes. Manage the preparation of financial statements, reports, and analyses on a regular basis. Coordinate and facilitate internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and addressing audit findings. Liaise with external CPAs and manage the annual tax return process. Manage the annual budget production and forecasts and monitor them monthly. Demonstrated ability to maintain and develop relationships with executives and board members. Keen sense of urgency and ability to keep pace in a fast-moving environment and culture. Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with various stakeholders. Strong presentation skills to the executive management team. Manage and perform other duties consistent with the role of an accounting professional. EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: BS in accounting in Accounting or Finance Zoho Books/Quickbooks experience preferred Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, and regulations JOB TYPE: Full-time
