Retina Consultants is seeking a skilled Senior Accountant to join their medical specialty practice in Charleston, West Virginia! The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles, financial concepts, and regulatory reporting. This employee is responsible for full cycle accounting activities relating to daily transactions, accounts payable, completing the month-end close process and developing reports for management for our multiple offices. Duties and Responsibilities: Responsible for month end close with preparation of journal entries, reconciliations and variance analytics Manage day-to-day accounting functions to include AP and daily cash reconciliations Accurately reconcile accounts, summarize activity, resolve reconciling differences appropriately, review budget to actual variances, and understand the Balance Sheet and P&L impacts of account activity, including classifications of financial statement line items Reconciliation of inter-company transactions Assist with annual budget process Communicate and work with other subsidiaries and departments within the business Perform other job-related duties as requested Skills/Competencies: Extensive knowledge of general financial accounting and cost accounting Understanding of and ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles Highly proficient with accounting software Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Excellent written and verbal communication skills Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance 3-5 years of accounting experience Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines efficiently Healthcare experience preferred This position offers competitive compensation, opportunities for professional growth, and excellent benefits!
