Senior Accountant

Century Group is partnering with a client who is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their team.
Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.
Expected starting base salary $80,000 to $90,000 per year.




Job Responsibilities:


Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP


Conduct financial analysis to support business decisions in Property tax revenue and expense.


Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.


Oversee the accounts payable and receivable processes.


Monitor budget variances and provide analysis and recommendations.


Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency.


Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and procedures.


Prepare and file federal, state, and local tax returns.


Collaborate with other departments to support overall business objectives.


Qualifications/Experience:


Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.


3-5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a corporate or public accounting environment.


Proven experience with financial reporting, general ledger management, and month-end/year-end close processes.


Experience with accounting software and ERP systems.


Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel).


Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards.


Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.


Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.


Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
