Job Summary
The Senior Accounting Manager, under the direction of the Corporate Controller, is responsible for supervision and control of the general accounting area, and for financial statement and report preparation.
The manager will possess exceptional analytical skills, a deep understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to lead and mentor a team of accounting professionals.
This role is critical in ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with regulatory standards
Key Responsibilities Financial Reporting: Oversee the preparation and analysis of financial statements, ensuring accuracy and adherence to GAAP.
Month-End Close: Lead the month-end close process, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards, regulations, and internal controls.
Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of accounting professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
Audit Coordination: Coordinate and support external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting.
Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the development and management of the annual budget and financial forecasts.
Capabilities Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems; advanced Excel skills Knowledge of technical and professional principles and skills in accounting and finance.
Knowledge of requirements and regulations set forth by governmental agencies, GAAP, and other related agencies.
Ability to maintain good working relationships with coworkers, supervisors, management, department heads, and various corporate personnel.
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
Qualifications Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA certification preferred.
Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
