VVater is a US-based, next-generation water treatment company that aims to provide Water for Humankind with a cornerstone of sustainability and a promise of a better, healthier tomorrow—servicing various industries and markets around the world from Real Estate, Wastewater Treatment, Municipal Potable Water, and multiple others, in particular, focusing on the recovering and recycling of different waters in a centralized or decentralized way. The company also does artificial beaches, urban lagoons, wave pools, surf parks, aquatics, sewage treatment, wastewater, and drinking water.

VVater seeks a skilled and innovative Aquatic Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role focuses on designing, developing, and implementing advanced mechanical systems for water treatment and purification, specifically in aquatic environments. The ideal candidate will have a robust understanding of mechanical engineering principles and experience in designing systems that efficiently manage water flow, filtration, and treatment processes. The Aquatic Mechanical Engineer will collaborate closely with our multidisciplinary teams to create solutions that meet the highest sustainability, efficiency, and performance standards.
Main Duties: Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and oversee the installation of mechanical systems for water treatment and aquatic applications.Conduct feasibility studies and technical assessments to ensure the viability of new projects and innovations.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including civil, chemical, and electrical engineers, to integrate mechanical systems into overall project designs.Utilize CAD | Civil 3D software and other engineering tools to create detailed mechanical designs and schematics.Perform simulations and testing to validate system performance, making necessary adjustments to meet design criteria and project goals.Develop and implement maintenance protocols to ensure the longevity and reliability of mechanical systems.Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues in water treatment facilities, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal operation.Stay current with industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes to incorporate the latest best practices into system designs.Prepare technical documentation, reports, and presentations to communicate project status, findings, and recommendations to stakeholders.Ensure compliance with safety standards, environmental regulations, and company policies throughout all project phases. Qualifications Professional Engineer (PE) License Required. Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. A Master's degree or higher is preferred, reflecting advanced knowledge and specialization in aquatic systems or water treatment.Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical engineering, with a strong emphasis on water treatment and aquatic systems. Experience in designing and managing large-scale mechanical projects is essential.Technical Skills: Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and other engineering tools. Strong understanding of fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, and materials science as they relate to water treatment and mechanical systems.Problem-Solving Abilities: Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex mechanical issues, with a strong analytical mindset and attention to detail.Project Management: Proven track record of managing engineering projects from conception through completion, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders effectively.Team Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative mindset, capable of working effectively within multidisciplinary teams.Certifications: Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred. Certifications in relevant areas such as HVAC, plumbing, or wastewater treatment are advantageous.Innovative Thinking: A proactive approach to identifying opportunities for innovation and improvement within mechanical systems and processes.Commitment to Sustainability: Dedication to developing and implementing sustainable engineering solutions that minimize environmental impact and promote resource efficiency.If you have a water-focused background, you must demonstrate an ability in advanced water treatment technologies. In addition, the candidate needs experience in hydraulics, chemical feed systems, alternate disinfection systems, advanced oxidation, and residual handling.Must be able to deal effectively with various industry, government, and public contracts on project-related matters, US & international.
Existing relationships with local and statewide clients are a plus.Expert knowledge of standard engineering techniques and procedures.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Experience leading the discipline design for large projects and delegating work tasks to team members. Ability to lead the execution of work and resolve issues in a team environment.Demonstrated critical thinking skills and ability to work methodically and analytically in a quantitative problem-solving environment.Strong attention to detail, facilitation, team building, collaboration, organization, and problem-solving skills.Ability to perform quality reviews for detailed engineering documents and specifications.Ability to travel. **As a part of our process to ensure a comprehensive evaluation of all applicants, assessment tests are required as part of our recruitment process.
