We are looking for Board Certified Senior Associate Attorneys for a large, prestigious family law firm with openings in Houston, Austin, Dallas, and San Antonio. This position offers the opportunity to handle complex cases with a Partner, as well as work cases independently. We are a litigation focused firm that leverages technology in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Applicants should have a desire to litigate and progress towards board certification. At least one year of civil litigation experience, and relevant current employment strongly preferred.
Associate Requirements: Juris Doctorate from an accredited institutionLicensed to practice law by the State Bar of Texas, and in good standingDemonstrated aptitude toward, and interest in the developing the following skillsets:Trial preparationDrafting abilityConducting bench trials as first or second chairConducting jury trials as first or second chairConducting and defending depositionsPreparing for and participating in mediationsProactively and timely case communicationsConsistent, empathetic client communicationsComplex discovery workAbility to conduct casework without over-reliance on support staffAbility to manage a docket of between approximately 40 and 60 cases Additional Senior Associates Requirements: Board Certification in Family Law by the Texas Board of Legal SpecializationDemonstrated history of converting potential new clients to clients of the firmMastery of local rules, procedures, and deadlinesMastery of the Texas Family Code and Texas Rules of Civil ProcedureInterest in nurturing referral sources and professional relationships Compensation: $140,000 - $200,000/year base salary (commensurate with experience), plus additional bonus structure.
