We're seeking a future team member for the role of SENIOR ASSOCIATE to join our TREASURY & ALM team. This role is located in NEW YORK, NY – ONSITE/HYBRID.
In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways:
Interfaces with internal and external stakeholders and continues to build a broad range of knowledge spanning the range of treasury, capital and asset and liability categories across the organization and its varied products/services.
Responsible for daily monitoring and reporting of liquidity funding requirements at a variety of clearing and settlement locations to the senior management.
Provides input into development/review of the assumptions for stressed liquidity requirements at the Financial Market Utilities (FMUs) and intraday liquidity stress testing principles.
Responsible for conducting intraday liquidity stress testing scenarios, assessing and reporting the results to the senior management and ALM committees.
Allocating the funding costs to the various lines of business on the liquidity usage to meet the liquidity and funding requirements at the FMUs.
Ensures proper controls on the quality and integrity of reports produced for senior management and ALM committee processes.
Anticipates changes in the regulatory environment and the business, conducts applicable research and makes recommendations for responding to emerging/changing regulatory requirements affecting ALM, Capital or Liquidity Funding.
To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following:
Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required
Degree in math, engineering, statistics, computational finance, or economics preferred. MBA, CFA, or CPA/CA preferred.
Knowledge of Liquidity regulatory reporting, including but not limited to: Regulation YY, Liquidity Stress Testing (LST), FR2052a, LCR & NSFR, RLAP, RLEN.
Expert in intraday liquidity management practices and stress scenario design in addition to the reporting and monitoring expectations outlined. Familiarity with clearing and settlement flow at various settlement locations is a plus.
Experience with liquidity stress testing, liquidity risk management, interest rate risk management, capital management and/or asset-liability management within large complex financial organizations preferred.
Familiarity with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.) and basic knowledge of SQL and python coding skills preferred.
Strong communication skills (written and verbal) in English.
Team player with positive attitude and strong work ethic.
Strong organizational skills, with high attention to detail and follow-through.

BNY assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package for our employees. The base salary for this position is expected to be between $67,000 and $125,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNY total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs.
This position is at-will and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, change in geographic location, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
