This position reports to
Engineering Manager
Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to be a design authority for an engineering discipline.
Each day, you will complete assignments on multiple projects of moderate size or portions of major projects in a cost-effective manner.
You will also showcase your expertise by ensuring assignments are completed in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, and cybersecurity policies and standards.
The work model for the role is: onsite This role is contributing to the Process Automation Process Industries division.
You will be mainly accountable for: • Working with the customer to shape and deliver solutions while seeking customer feedback to drive and deliver improvements.
• Creating work plans and cost estimates for the portfolio of projects and ensuring quality, timely implementation within the targeted cost.
• Coordinating with relevant functions to ensure the designs are appropriately manufactured / staged, tested, installed, and commissioned.
• Coaching engineering colleagues on the translation of conceptual designs to engineering documentation, best practices, and lessons learned from past projects.
Qualifications for the role
Bachelor's degree in chemical, process, electrical, mechanical, or similar engineering field preferred.
Experience with developing industrial processes in the chemical, metal, rubber, glass, material handling, or similar areas.
Adaptable to working in new areas that could include, but not limited to, batteries, food/beverage, and metal plating.
7+ years of experience required in: Controls and HMI hand on work, Configuring control Software and Hardware, Design experience in controls panels, Controls programming, BoM and Submittals, Data Center EPMS product and solution experience Modbus communications Experience in light and heavy industry control applications.
Working knowledge of AC & DC Motors Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
