The Role About the Job Our client is a leading shipping container visibility and audit platform, providing transparency and efficiency to the multi-trillion dollar logistics industry. They help customers, ranging from the largest brands in the world to solo truckers, uncover unfair charges and avoid inefficiencies. Their users have saved hundreds of millions in fees to date, and they're just getting started.
The company is remote-first, with a critical mass of people who often work out of offices in LA and NYC. Their product engineering team is looking for another backend engineer to join their ranks, continuing the disruption of a technologically antiquated industry.
What Will You Do? As a Backend/Full Stack Engineer, you will play a crucial role in building the platform technology and infrastructure that drives product delivery. Your responsibilities will include:
Collaborating with various internal stakeholders including product managers, designers, data scientists, and other software engineers.Translating product requirements and technical designs into well-engineered, low-defect, robust code.Researching new technologies and methodologies to improve the architecture, software components, user experience, and development processes.Performing extensive unit testing, system testing, and regression testing to ensure reliability and efficiency. Requirements: 3+ years of Python engineering experience, developing and deploying software using Agile methodologies.Solid development skills in at least one of the following languages: Python, JavaScript (preferably Typescript), or Go.Experienced in building data management platforms.Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision and oversee complex tasks while prioritizing multiple projects based on strategic goals. Nice to Have: Interest or experience in logistics and/or supply chain management.Startup experience.Experience working on cloud infrastructure, especially AWS.Frontend experience in React, or a strong appetite to learn it.
