In this key role, you will be responsible for interpreting, and analyzing data from various sources, building data models, and reporting results back to relevant business areas to support organizational decisions.
This is a hybrid role and requires you to be in the office 2-3 days a week.
Manage data analysis and BI dashboard projects independently, encompassing requirements gathering, data modeling, dashboard development, and final project presentation to secure stakeholder signoff. Deliver daily executive summaries of key performance indicators (KPIs) and other critical metrics, enabling the leadership team to quickly identify and address potential pain points. Advocate for data literacy across functional teams, driving noticeable improvements in data understanding and fostering stakeholder confidence in the accuracy and reliability of insights Data Analysis and Modeling
Analyze and interpret data from diverse sources to develop reliable, scalable data models that serve as the foundation for Source of Truth metrics.Stakeholder Management
Initiate and lead project discussions with stakeholders, often starting with basic data requests. Maintain clear and effective communication throughout all project phases to ensure alignment and successful outcomes.Business Insights and Performance Analysis
Conduct in-depth data analysis to address key stakeholder questions, identifying drivers of business performance. Present findings effectively to business teams through dashboards and other communication tools.Dashboard Development and Maintenance
Design and maintain interactive, user-friendly visualizations by integrating data from multiple sources. Ensure dashboards are intuitive and accessible to maximize adoption and decision-making impact among end users.Ad-Hoc Analysis and Data Literacy
Respond to ad-hoc data queries, monitor key metrics, and evaluate organizational or departmental performance. Foster data literacy across the organization by making insights actionable and easy to understand. Proven experience supporting diverse business teams with their data requirements, coupled with the ability to engage with technical and non-technical audiences.At least 5 years of experience designing and developing BI dashboards for multiple organizational departments, including 2–3 years of hands-on expertise with Tableau, to craft data-driven stories aligned with diverse business use cases.Expertise in creating complex data models using SQL to support robust and scalable analytics solutions. Experience with Amplitude or a similar analytics platform will be highly preferred.Experience in digital analytics will be highly preferred.Excellent professional communication and etiquette skillsExperienced in a start-up environmentAutonomous and self-driven to own projects and produce quality outcomes Twice a year for company gatherings.
The base salary range for this position is $90,000 - $120,000/yr, plus eligible benefits. Compensation may be adjusted based on tenure and experience.
In addition to your cash compensation, you will receive options to buy stock in Recovery.com at a set strike price. These options will vest on a four-year schedule and present an exciting opportunity to benefit from the upside of our company's growth.
An additional 10% of base earnings is paid out quarterly when the company meets its revenue target.
We strongly value in-person work and collaboration, so for full-time employees residing in Dane County, we offer a housing stipend of $689/month in addition to your salary ($8,268/yr; half of the Fair Market Value of a 2BR apartment in Madison according to rentdata.org).
