To Apply for this Job Click Here What YOU will do: The Business Systems Analyst works very closely with all stakeholders including business customers, vendors, and internal resources in order to facilitate team communication and achieve the team's mission. Gather detailed requirements. Documents business processes and helps identify improvements. Describes the business need in the form of User Stories and Acceptance Criteria. Follows Agile and/or Kanban practices. Participate in daily scrum, sprint planning, sprint demo and retrospective meetings. Organizes and documents supporting detailed technical requirements. Ensures that the other team members have a clear understanding of the business need and requirements. Provides thorough analysis of issues and determines solutions. Reviews developer design approach and ensures business needs are met. Participates in testing of system deliverables. Troubleshoots and resolves system data issues (daily production support). Manages monthly premium close data files and activities. Generates reports for business needs. What YOU will bring: Bachelor's Degree and/or 8+ years of equivalent experience related to the Insurance or Financial Industry within an IT organization. Demonstrate leadership qualities and past project success. Self-starter who works closely with Operations and IT teams. Ability to work alongside other Business Analysts and teams on larger system implementations and integration efforts. Strong communication skills. A passion for technology. An enthusiastic and positive attitude. An entrepreneurial spirit. Ability to take ownership and see tasks through to completion. Solid understanding of systems integrations. Experience with financial and statistical reporting applications is a plus. Strong Microsoft Excel skills. What would differentiate YOU even more: Experience with policy administration and transactional processing systems. Some experience working with simple SQL queries.
