Position Description – Sr. Buyer Reports To: Operations Manager

Objective: The primary objective of the Sr.Buyer is to direct the materials, planning, and logistic functions of the company to ensure customer needs are satisfied.
Roles and Responsibilities: Responsible for planning and maintaining a material procurement process that establishes and achieves the least total cost, best quality, and timely deliveryOversee Supply Chain activities and employeesInteract and manage Internal global group companies that provide 80% of all purchasesSupervise the purchase of production and/or non-production materials according to schedules or purchase requisitions and coordinate suppliers to meet the Company's goals regarding quality, delivery, and costPlan/Schedule suppliers/sub-contractors to maintain an uninterrupted flow of materials including raw materials, components, sub-components, and services from internal, local, and overseas suppliersIdentify, notify, and manage potential shortages by planning and expediting internally and externallyExpedite and reschedule open purchase orders to suit customer service requirements by negotiating with suppliers for delaying or bringing forward, canceling, reducing, or minimizing ordered quantities to minimize the impact on inventory holdingLiaising with freight forwarders for all incoming materials from overseas suppliers and maintaining in-transit reports for accurate online information for Customer ServiceSupport management team with all required reporting of data analysis and prepare reports for management presentationsParticipate in the recruiting and hiring of Supply Chain staffAdditional duties as assigned Note: The above job description is not intended to be an all-inclusive list of duties and standards of the position.

Role Requirements: EducationalBachelor's degree in Business or related disciplineExperience5-10 years of Supply Chain ExperienceExperience with ERP systems such as M3, SAP, or OraclePrevious forecasting experienceUnderstand freight forwarding processesExperience dealing with freight forwards, customs agents, and suppliersBroad supply chain/distribution/manufacturing knowledgeSkillsAdvanced skills in Microsoft Office, with emphasis on Excel and PowerPointAdvanced communication skills, verbal and writtenHighly developed people management skillsAbility to develop strong working relationshipsExperience in negotiating supply priorities of raw materialsExcellent organizational and planning skillsAbility to work effectively as part of a teamAbility to multi-task and handle competing deadlines Safety Responsibilities: Follow Safety standards and comply with procedures, rules, and regulationsKeep a clean and safe working environment and optimize space utilizationParticipate in the Total Continuous Improvement programAttend all employee Safety MeetingsUse prescribed Personal Protective EquipmentObserve restricted areas and all warning signs Work Environment: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
