Job Summary and Qualifications GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES The Cardiovascular Imaging Systems Analyst provides technical and managerial leadership in establishing goals and priorities and in the overall management of current and planned CVIS applications, services, and related technologies within a facility.
This position ensures continuity and alignment of the divisions cardiovascular imaging systems and services direction and plans with facility needs.
Primary responsibilities include serving as the cardiovascular imaging applications leader for the facility, implementing and monitoring CVIS applications and technology and support processes, and coordinating consistent support of CVIS applications and related technologies, such as Radiology PACS within the division.
This individual also assists in resolving highly complex issues regarding CVIS applications, coordinates division-wide testing and implementation of software releases, assists in developing strategies for training and tools for CVIS across the facility, and champions standardization, utilization, optimization and use of best practices in CVIS.
Requires subject matter knowledge in medical imaging applications and staying abreast of latest medical imaging application developments to ensure service levels proactively meet or exceed corporate and division requirements and service level agreements with key stakeholders and vendors.
This position requires strong people skills, personal drive, and the ability to see strategy through to execution in a matrix reporting environment.
Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills are also required.
DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO: IT Operations Management: Overall Operations Management, Service Level Management, Resource Management, Processes & Standards Implementation, Compliance Management, Incident Management, Financial Management, Technical Management, Information Security Management Establishes goals and priorities in the overall management of current and planned CVIS applications, services, and related technologies.
Coordinates the assignment of resources to CVIS projects, operations, & incidents Assists in establishing, and communicates, monitors, and manages Service Level Agreements (SLAs) Consults with technical leaders during technical goal setting, prioritization, planning and design for CVIS Implementations Participates in the development division-level CVIS standards, policies, and procedures Ensures that the design and use of CVIS applications adhere to established policies, procedures, and standards Leads analysis of organizational needs for development and implementation of CVIS applications; interfaces with users to ensure that CVIS applications are developed which meet their business needs and specifications Assists in the development of the budget and develops project cost estimates for facilities Promotes system security and patient confidentiality and helps ensure compliance Collaborates with enterprise subject matter experts and services in managing resolution of CVIS application incidents and requests Strategic Business/IT Alignment & Planning: Facility/Zone Business/IT Alignment, Strategic Planning Coordinates with corporate, and facility-level leadership teams, as needed to align strategy, services, and coordinate any required implementation activities.
Collaborates with facilities, Imaging Systems Administrators, the Clinical Specialist Team, and enterprise imaging application areas to implement the division plans for CVIS applications standardization, utilization, integration and optimization.
Relationship Management & Communication: Facility Leadership, Facility IT Users, Facility IT Staff, Physicians, Vendors, SSC, Supply Chain, IT Groups Builds positive relationships with business operations, ITG leadership, and vendors Owns the facilitation of multi-way communication with key constituents on CVIS matters Communicates successes, challenges, opportunities, trends, and lessons regarding CVIS to appropriate leadership at the facility and/or corporate level Promotes sharing of information through documentation and distribution of best demonstrated practices Builds strong relationships with CVIS application users groups across ITG managers and directors Serves as primary liaison between Corporate, facilities, and CVIS vendors Process Engineering: Improvement of Workflow through Technology, Utilization of Technology Understands the implications of technology solutions to workflow & operations & assists in communicating to key stakeholders Assists in identifying process improvement opportunities & challenges and communicating them to appropriate IT leaders for planning & action Mentor, train, and educate Jr.
Administrators.
Governance: Support of Decision-Making Processes Understands IT governance processes & practices communicates & supports IT governance processes & practices Adheres to Code of Conduct and Mission & Value Statement.
Participate in special projects as needed and performs other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES Required Mature understanding of current and emerging technologies, specific to cardio vascular imaging Applications Mature understanding of cardio vascular imaging support processes and workflow Understands pertinent JCAHO, MQSA, HIPAA and ACR guidelines Extensive knowledge of the Structured reporting of Echo, Invasive and Noninvasive Cardiology.
Overall knowledge and understanding of the workflow of invasive and noninvasive cardiology areas Demonstrated ability to establish and build strong relationships across a broad range of personality types Strong analytical skills and detailed organizational skills Demonstrated ability to proactively identify needs and manage resources Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate information technology both verbally and in writing Demonstrated customer orientation, excellent leadership and teaching abilities Demonstrated advanced computer skills Strong understanding of clinical systems and procedures Strong analytical skills in planning and policy maintenance and development EDUCATION Bachelors degree preferred EXPERIENCE Seven years of experience in the HCA CV ISA position, medical imaging or clinical applications support Three years managerial experience including budgeting, maintaining policies and database analysis Experience in large, complex organization or corporate structured environment Experience in team leadership and direct supervision Experience creating and leading communications with direct reports, senior leaders, business partners, vendors to ensure collaboration, efficiency, and service excellence PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS - Requires prolonged sitting, some bending, stooping and stretching.
Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone, calculator and other office equipment.
Requires normal range of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare and communicate appropriate reports.
Work is performed in an office environment.
Work may be stressful at times.
Contact may involve dealing with angry or upset people.
Staff must remain flexible and available to provide staffing assistance for any/all disaster or emergency situations.
Travel between facilities in a geographic zone may be required.
