Senior Citizens Center Assistant

Non-Exempt/Hourly The mission of PACS is to empower individuals and families to become self-reliant through assistance, education, and accountability.
The Center Assistant will support the Aging Center Coordinator in all areas of running the local senior citizens center.
Essential Job Duties Assist in the recruitment of elderly persons for effective participation in Aging ProgramsAssist in the kitchen area with inventory and preparation of mealsRun meal routes as neededAssist in running weekly programming in the CenterAssist the Center Coordinator with documentation to submit to the Director of AgingEducation High School Diploma or EquivalentExperience Experience in working with people, especially the elderly community or related work, or any equivalent combination for education and/or experience is a plus. Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and written.
