Job Title Senior Cloud Product Manager
Job Summary The Senior Cloud Product Manager will guide and manage the full lifecycle of new cloud-based technology products and feature enhancements.
This role requires a strong understanding of cloud architecture, data management, cloud security, and product management.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop strategic roadmaps, define technical requirements, and manage cloud services in alignment with NIH's objectives.
The position involves collaboration with cloud service providers, NIH stakeholders, and scientific teams to ensure NIH's cloud initiatives are scalable, secure, and aligned with industry best practices.
Key Responsibilities Manage the full lifecycle of cloud products, from concept to market launch, including strategic alignment with NIH objectives. Develop product roadmaps, functional specifications, and mock-ups based on market trends, customer needs, and emerging technologies. Lead the design, development, testing, and integration of cloud services across various platforms. Provide strategic alignment and recommendations for cloud architecture, ensuring NIH cloud services are scalable, secure, and compliant with industry standards. Collaborate with NIH to define technical requirements for cloud services, focusing on architecture, data management, and engineering support. Support NIH security operations by verifying and validating cloud security vulnerabilities and maintaining security documentation. Ensure NIH cloud services comply with all relevant security standards, including NIST, FIPS, OMB, and HHS policies. Provide strategic advisory support on cloud strategy, including planning and executing cloud service implementations. Lead assessments of cloud-related technologies, applications, and processes, delivering targeted reports with findings and recommendations. Lead the development of cloud products, focusing on integrating cloud service provider platforms such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud. Ensure alignment between NIH's business objectives and cloud service provider roadmaps, coordinating cross-functional integration efforts. Conduct data analysis to support cloud-related decisions, including usage, cost, and performance data. Provide strategic documentation, including product roadmaps, capacity summaries, and continuous improvement plans. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. 4-7 years of experience in cloud product management, cloud architecture, or IT product development. Strong understanding of cloud service providers (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and cloud security standards. Experience with strategic planning, cloud migration, and implementation of automated cloud services. Familiarity with cloud architecture, data management, and security frameworks. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to develop high-level technical documentation and collaborate with cross-functional teams. Experience working in a scientific or research-driven environment, supporting cloud initiatives. Familiarity with NIH's STRIDES Initiative and cloud enablement efforts. Certifications in cloud platforms or security standards are a plus (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud). Compensation and Benefits The projected compensation range for this position is $121,850 to $160,700 per year benchmarked in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area.
The target salary is $142,100.
The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
