Our client north of Boston is looking to add a Senior CNC Programmer to their amazing team!
We are looking for a seasoned veteran with a passion for CNC Programming.
You will work with cross-functional teams to create CNC programs and machining strategies.
This person will need to have at least 7 years of experience in a manufacturing environment working with Mazak machines and programming CNC machines.
Mastercam experience and knowledge of GD&T is also important for this position.

responsibilities:
Create machining strategies to transform designs into machined components.
Develop and optimize CNC programs for various machining processes, including milling, turning, and multi-axis machining centers.
Collaborate with the engineering team to choose suitable tooling, fixtures, and cutting parameters for efficient and precise part production.
Support machinists in setting up and troubleshooting CNC machines, ensuring programs run correctly and resolving any issues during the machining process.
Formulate manufacturing plans for high-volume production.
Design custom tools and fixtures as required.
Create setup sheets that align the CNC program's geometry with the physical workpiece.
Identify, select, and procure the right tooling for specific applications, considering part material, geometry, features, tolerances, system rigidity, and equipment capabilities.
Release validated programs to the production team.
Lead process improvement initiatives to reduce machining/setup time and enhance part quality.
