Position Summary
The Senior Commercial Banker will take the lead in new client acquisition and ongoing client relationship management.
The Senior Commercial Banker is responsible for building and servicing a portfolio of profitable middle-market client relationships by executing a disciplined business development strategy accompanied by an exceptional relationship management approach.
The Senior Commercial Banker will be responsible for sourcing and structuring commercial business loans that meet customer needs and align with commercial lending policy.
The Senior Commercial Banker is also responsible for sourcing treasury management and depository relationships and for making business referrals across the organization.
The Senior Commercial Banker is expected to have a strong working knowledge of commercial and industrial (C&I) credit structures, commercial loan documentation, working capital solutions, commercial treasury management products, commercial card, syndicated finance, debt capital markets, and foreign exchange.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities Develop and implement business development strategies that prioritize and facilitate the acquisition of high value relationships. Build relationships and assess the banking needs of existing and potential clients.
Facilitate introductions of subject matter experts and recommend appropriate bank products and services to meet the client's needs. Lead the loan acquisition, structuring, negotiation, and documentation process.
Make written and oral presentations to loan committee.
Partner closely with the credit administration and underwriting departments on loan requests. Maintain and expand existing client relationships through consistent communication and proactive outreach. Manage credit portfolio, monitor credit quality, and data integrity.
Includes but not limited to loan renewals, reviewing current financial statements and collateral valuations, analyzing borrowing base certificates, credit analysis, cash flow analysis, reviewing/approving advance requests, monitoring delinquency and risk grading and administration of loan covenants. Adhere to the Bank's credit policies, guidelines and applicable regulatory requirements.
Other Responsibilities Represent the bank at community events and in civic leadership roles. Collaborate regularly with internal partners and executives across the organization. Support and promote the Bank vision, mission and core values, organizational structure and policies and procedures. Provide strong and visible leadership, which fosters positive attitudes and trust among colleagues, customers and prospects. Comply with federal and state regulations as well as all established Bank policies and procedures. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications, Education and Experience Requirements Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in commercial banking business development, loan structuring, underwriting and portfolio management.
Formal credit training preferred. Thorough knowledge of commercial banking products and services. Experience in commercial loan documentation. Strong analytical skills to assess and evaluate loan risk, credit limitations and appraisals; have a thorough understanding of underwriting and financial data, including advanced knowledge of accounting principles. Bachelor's degree in Business and/or commensurate work experience is required.
