Position Summary Our Commercial Bankers have a passion for building relationships, filling customer needs and delivering excellent customer service.
This role is responsible for developing new commercial relationships and managing a portfolio of customers.
This banker will identify and call prospective customers with a high conversion rate by using their creativity, curiosity, and relationship skills to exceed customer expectations.
You will provide expert financial advice and great service, while adhering to established Bank policies, procedures, and objectives.
Performs any function, within scope of authority and expertise, to generate new customers and provide the highest level of service and responsiveness to customers and co-workers.
Strive for excellence in conducting needs-based conversations to identify solutions for customers.
Duties and Responsibilities Executes coordinated calling program to gain new customers and service existing clients.
Negotiates, underwrites, and coordinates the closing of various types of commercial and consumer loans in compliance with the Bank's lending policies and procedures.
Performs pre-qualification assessment and analysis of financial condition and risk of financing requests within framework of Bank credit policy and current economic and industry trends.
Participates with Senior Management in developing, analyzing, and finalizing loan opportunities with varying degrees of complexity.
Cross-sells and actively engages with existing clients as well as potential prospects in the market using knowledge of First Bank Texas products and services to ensure gaining full customer relationships.
Represents the Bank in various community, civic, and community reinvestment functions to further enhance the Banks image and develop additional business; assists the Bank in establishing and maintaining market share in assigned territory Desired Qualifications Bachelors degree (BA) in business, finance, or related field 8 years related experience and/or training; or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
Work related experience should consist of financial analysis or lending background.
Educational experience, through in-house training sessions, formal banking or financial industry related curriculum, should be business or financial industry related.
Advanced knowledge of related state and federal lending and compliance regulations, and other Bank lending policies.
Registered with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry as a mortgage loan originator in accordance with the Secure and Fair Enforcement for Mortgage Licensing Act (the SAFE Act).
