The Compensation team is responsible for leading the design, implementation, and administration of compensation programs that support corporate clients, as well as all functional organizations of The Walt Disney Company, including Technology and other areas. In this work, we partner with other human resource functions to develop solutions that attract, retain, and empower top talent for these organizations globally.
The Compensation Consultant provides direction to assigned internal clients and collaborates with HR partners in the planning, development, implementation, and administration of compensation programs that support the company's business strategy. The Compensation Consultant also collaborates with compensation peers in each of the business segments on the implementation of centralized, harmonized, and seamless compensation support for functional organizations that span across all business segments.
This position is a hybrid-based role that can be based in Bristol, CT, New York City, NY, Orlando, FL, or Anaheim/Burbank, California.
What You Will Do Conduct compensation benchmark assessments; actively seek market intelligence and industry-specific data to advise appropriate solutions for assigned clients.Review, level, and determine job family alignment for each role to ensure that the job duties, qualifications, and skills are consistent across the business.Collaborate with HR business partners and assigned technology clients in providing consultative support in areas of offers, job architecture, and compensation guidelines.Develop compensation proposals for newly promoted and newly hired employees (both executive and non-executive).Administer the annual merit increase, bonus, and long-term incentive program and communication for assigned clients.Assist in crafting, applying, and maintaining salary structures and hiring ranges.Participate in industry market surveys. Conduct ad hoc compensation analyses and projects.Required Qualifications & Skills 5 or more years of demonstrable experience, preferably with a large corporate employer or leading advising firm.Knowledge of compensation program concepts and practices.Outstanding analytical and quantitative skills with a dedication to accuracy.Effective conferring skills.Ability to lead multiple projects and priorities.Strong written, verbal, and graphic interpersonal skills, including the ability to optimally communicate technical information to varying audiences.Ability to understand and relate to multiple collaborators from various subject areas (e.g., finance, legal, operations).Sound sense of partnership.Business-oriented approach.Ability to work with sensitive information and maintain confidentiality.Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).Experience with SAP, Workday, etc., and/or compensation planning systems preferred.Education Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Human Resources, Business, Finance or equivalent.Additional Information Disney offers a rewards package to help you live your best life! The hiring range for this position in California is $113,600 to $138,800 per year and in New York is $119,000 to $145,400 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
