Ready to make connectivity from space universally accessible, secure and actionable? Then you've come to the right place!
E-Space is bridging Earth and space to enable hyper-scaled deployments of Internet of Things (IoT) solutions and services. We are building a highly-advanced low Earth orbit (LEO) space system that will fundamentally change the design, economics, manufacturing and service delivery associated with traditional satellite and terrestrial IoT systems.
We're intentional, we're unapologetically curious and we're 100% committed to innovate space-based communications and deliver actionable intelligence that will expand global economies, protect space and our planet and enhance our overall quality of life.
We are seeking a talented and experienced Mid-Level Design Engineer to join our team specializing in the design and development of advanced thin composite structures for aerospace applications. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of designing composites structures and building first unit demonstrations of their design. You will need a deep understanding of composites ply design, resin systems, and their effects on performance. Special consideration will be given to candidates that have experience scaling a composites design in a production environment.
What you will be doing:Design and develop complex thin composite structures for aerospace componentsConduct structural analysis and finite element modeling of high strain composites in a high deformation settingCollaborate with cross-functional teams, including materials engineers, manufacturing engineers, and mechanisms engineers, to optimize design for manufacturability and performanceSupport spacecraft dynamics team in modeling and characterizing the composite structure performanceDevelop and maintain detailed engineering drawings and specificationsStay up-to-date with the latest advancements in composite materials and manufacturing technologiesWhat you bring to this role:Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related fieldMinimum of 5 years of experience in aerospace composite design and analysisStrong understanding of composite materials, their properties, and their manufacturing processesProficiency in structural analysis softwareExperience with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks or AnalySwift)This is a full time, exempt position, based out of our Saratoga office. The target base pay for this position is $150,000 - $200,000 annually.
