Job Summary Manage a select group of qualified and nonqualified retirement plans, which may include all aspects of plan design, overseeing day to day administration, trust accounting, participant notices, plan documents, compliance testing, and leading a team of analysts. Continuously gain knowledge of the retirement plan industry through ongoing education.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Manage and mentor analystsManage a select group of retirement plansResponsible for all aspects of plan designOversee day to day administration, annual compliance testing, Form 5500 preparation, and trust accountingDrafting participant notices and plan documentsClient relationship management ensuring high quality deliverablesPerform project tasks independently, and direct the efforts of othersAnticipate client needs and formulate solutions to client issuesPrepare and review deliverables for accuracy and qualityPlan and lead client meetingsParticipate in prospective client proposal presentationsManage own personal and professional development; seek opportunities for professional growth and expansion of consulting skills and experiencesQualifications Knowledge of Excellent problem solving including an ability to independently research and determine strategies to solve client needsOperating standard office equipment and using required software applications, including Microsoft Office and established databasesKnowledge of the Omni recordkeeping systemBasic scriptingExperience with rate group testing, earned income calculations, and other advanced types of compliance testingExperience with retirement plan conversions, acquisitions, and divestituresSkill in Critical thinkingCommunicating effectively, both orally and in writingAbility to Perform complex compliance testing, discuss plan design, prepare annual reports, and complete DOL and IRS formsPrioritize, work independently and drive tasks to completionLead project teams and function with multiple tasks and deadlines concurrentlyConduct meetings with client senior leadershipEducation/Previous Experience Bachelor's degree, preferably in Mathematics or Business Administration; and5 – 7 years of experience in the retirement field including consulting with clientsLicenses/Certifications • QKA or QPA designation preferred
