Position Summary:Thermo Fisher Scientific is seeking an exceptionally skilled Senior Corporate Counsel, Lead Counsel - Antitrust to join our Legal team. This ambitious role involves guidance on substantive antitrust and competition law matters, with a special focus on managing merger review processes and general antitrust counseling. The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of proven experience in top law firms or in-house antitrust work.
Key Responsibilities:Support the successful execution of the Company's M&A strategy and timely completion of its M&A transactions: collaborate with business and manage external counsel to develop and implement strategy for timely clearance of merger reviews; and support all aspects of merger clearance filings and M&A integrations.Assess and counsel on antitrust/competition risks.Review diverse/innovative business strategy and marketing presentations and competitive intelligence.Coordinate responses to antitrust inquiries by all global and enforcement agencies, including responses to third-party questionnaires and other requests for information.Support and maintain the development and implementation of global compliance policies..Coordinate with the Corporate Compliance team to timely manage and conduct antitrust related internal compliance investigations and risk assessments.Support compliance with antitrust regulatory reporting obligations.Partner with government affairs for proactive engagement with regulators.Qualifications:Experience in antitrust law with substantive experience in competition matters.
