The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a wide range of legal advice on corporate matters, including treasury, sanctions, compliance, corporate governance, and regulatory reporting.
This role involves supporting the finance organization, overseeing the corporate governance of the company's entities, and managing legal research and analysis.
Applicants for the Senior Counsel, Corporate Law position at the company should possess a JD degree from an accredited law school and be admitted to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
A minimum of 7-10 years of corporate law experience is required, with a preference for those with a background in the insurance industry and experience in sanctions, compliance, treasury, licensing, and regulatory matters.
The role demands a professional with strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, as well as the ability to manage multiple priorities and projects.
The candidate should have a proven track record of working with cross-functional teams and managing outside counsel.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must, with the ability to explain complex legal concepts to non-lawyers.
