The successful candidate will be a key member of the Office of General Counsel, supporting the Consumer Markets Division.
This role requires a legal professional with a minimum of 5 years of experience in SEC-registered variable insurance products, including variable annuities and variable universal life.
The Senior Counsel will be responsible for providing legal advice on a range of matters, from drafting and filing registration statements to offering legal guidance on various optional benefits associated with these products.
The ideal candidate will have a law degree from an ABA-accredited school, current bar membership, and a proven track record of high ethical standards, leadership, and excellent communication skills.
As a Senior Counsel, you will be expected to monitor and interpret relevant securities and insurance laws, as well as to provide legal review of marketing materials.
Experience in private placement insurance products and a strong understanding of the regulatory requirements, including SEC filings, is essential.
The role also involves participating in industry groups and may include providing advice to an affiliated broker-dealer.
