Senior Creative Producer

Senior Creative Producer
Company:

Panthalassa

Details of the offer

About the Company
The open ocean is Earth's largest and most power-dense renewable energy resource. Panthalassa is harnessing that resource to generate the cheapest energy on the planet. Our mission is to provide abundant and affordable clean energy for everyone.
Founded in 2016 and based in the Pacific Northwest, our team comes from diverse backgrounds in aerospace, naval architecture, marine operations, hardware, software, and research.
About the Job
We're a technology company that believes storytelling is critical to accomplishing our mission. The creative and communications teams are responsible for building a brand that inspires and educates our communities, team members, investors, and the public at large—helping them understand what we're doing and why it matters.
As Senior Creative Producer, you will partner closely with our Creative Director to concept, plan, resource, and help execute a variety of projects about our company's mission, technology, and team. These projects will come to life as part of a wide range of deliverables: decks, websites, digital content, brand design, photography, film, animation, product visualizations, copywriting, and more.
In addition to being interested in people and the planet, the ideal candidate needs to be curious about science, technology, engineering (and even a little math). Our team is constantly trying to simplify and humanize the complexity of these things.
You are a team player with a "no task is too small" attitude. In addition to overseeing big, long-term creative initiatives like a brand film or website, you'll be responsible for the production of many day-to-day essentials like headshots, merch, signage, investor updates, etc.
The ideal candidate possesses an entrepreneurial spirit and loves working with creative dreamers, while serving as a collaborative foil to their divergent thinking. You take big creative concepts and make tangible moves to execute them. You are unfazed by ambiguity, intuitively drive the decision-making process, and enjoy wrangling buy-in from key stakeholders. You love working through the logistics of a complex or challenging project to come up with smart solutions.
Candidates should have strong interpersonal skills and be able to thrive in a creative, scrappy, and collaborative environment in which the best ideas change the company's direction on a regular basis. Our team members have worked at organizations such as SpaceX, Blue Origin, Boeing, Virgin Orbit, Virgin Galactic, Google, Amazon, Microsoft, New Relic, Bridgewater, Raytheon, Disney Imagineering, and the naval architecture faculty of the University of Michigan. The company is structured as a public benefit corporation and backed by leading venture capital firms.
Responsibilities

Produce complex projects across a variety of media: photo/video, brand design, and interactive
Assess and organize day-to-day priorities for the internal creative team, manage creative and stakeholder approval checkpoints, and remove project roadblocks
Manage external creative partners and freelance talent, helping to build long-term scalable relationships
Oversee and manage projects through all stages of production, from conceptual brainstorming to scheduling to internal coordination to final delivery
Help run our internal creative team like a small studio
Lead and participate in constructive critiques, where we focus on the work not the ego
Coordinate photo and video shoots
Understand our tech, engineering processes, and ways of working, then translate that to external parties
Initiate new projects, lead scoping, execute creative briefs, and provide detailed steps for the team, often with limited information
Lead the sourcing and recruitment process for creative freelance roles on individual projects as needed, including portfolio reviews, initial conversations, contracts, and onboarding
Manage external partner and vendor relationships, including scheduling, availability, execution and monitoring of NDAs, and drafting contracts
Drive projects forward with efficient communication between project stakeholders—including internal team, external vendors, and company leadership

Basic Qualifications

A minimum of 5+ years as a Creative Producer, Program Manager, or operations person at a creative agency, brand, or similar environment with specific experience overseeing digital design, branding, photography, video, and animation projects
Proficient in Google Suite, Adobe, and Figma
You have a robust network of external talent and freelancers—including production companies, directors, photographers, videographers, animators, and more
Be able to thrive in a creative, scrappy, and collaborative environment while having the vision and autonomy to create systems and process for the future
Detail-oriented and meticulous
Understands the big picture and can break high level vision into practical steps to achieve it
Ability to maintain a calm confidence in challenging situations
Approaches work with curiosity and positivity
