Senior Cyber Security Engineer

Zachary Piper Solutions is currently seeking a Cyber Security Engineer who will support a government contract located in Chantilly, VA.

Responsibilities for Cyber Security Engineer:
• Design, implement and maintain complex systems and infrastructure that support business objectives
• Develop and maintain system architecture and design documentation
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that our systems and infrastructure meet security, scalability, and performance requirements
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex system issues, including performance and availability problems
• Plan and execute system upgrades, patches, and migrations
• Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans and procedures
• Develop and implement system monitoring and alerting strategies
• Mentor and train junior team members
• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends

Qualifications for Cyber Security Engineer:
• 510 years of relative experience
• TS/SCI CI Poly
• Cyber Security Certification (CEH, CISM, Security Plus, CYSA, Etc.)
• Experience with Elastic, Ansible and/or Kubernetes
• Worked with cloud infrastructure and services such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
• Strong Scripting Experience (PowerShell, Python, Bash)

Compensation for the Cyber Security Engineer:
$120,000 - $180,000 *Depending on Experience.
