Job Summary: Fortune School of Education is currently seeking to hire a Senior Data and Systems Analyst to join our high-performing, entrepreneurial Data, Analytics, and Strategy team. In this high impact position, s/he will play an integral role in shaping our data strategy, including building out our data infrastructure and support systems, ensuring access to key data and insights for our stakeholders, and championing a culture of data-driven decision making. The Senior Analyst will work in our home office in Sacramento and collaborate closely with our Academics and Operations teams.
\n Essential Functions With support from the Data team, the Senior Analyst will be responsible for: 1. Data Management and Support Manage administration of our student information system, Aeries, and our learning management system, Illuminate DnA, with a focus on school support and data quality and accuracy Collaborate with the Data team to develop and maintain a data warehouse that connects key student, academic, and operational data for meaningful analysis Own our school support strategy, including the creation of training materials and managing a Help Desk or ticketing platform 2. Data Visualization, Reporting, and Analysis Learn/Use Google Looker Studio to visualize data and create high-quality dashboards and reports for stakeholders at our schools and regional office Create data reports for state agencies, authorizers, and other stakeholdersAnalyze school and student data to help us evaluate the effectiveness of our practices in core areas such as teaching and learning, school culture, and operationsAssist in developing and implementing surveys Assist in creating presentations for various stakeholders 3. Cross-functional Collaboration Partner with schools and other teams on data-related projects and initiatives Act as Data team liaison with broader Fortune School of Education community Complete student data requests and reporting for multiple stakeholders (internal teams, authorizers, grant reports, research requests, etc.) Requirements Education, Experience and Skills: Extensive experience managing data, with high accuracy and attention to detail; experience with educational data a plus Highly resourceful, with demonstrated ability to learn new data platforms/systems quickly and independently Goal-oriented, with strong initiative and creative problem-solving skills Proven track record of teamwork and collaboration with others Outstanding written and oral communication skillsBachelor's Degree (Master's Degree Preferred) Technical Expertise with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint Experience with statistical software (e.g. Stata) and/or data visualization (Looker Studio) preferredCulture: Mission-driven, with an unquestioned commitment to Fortune School's mission and values Self-starter, comfortable in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment Joyful, with a sense of humor!
