The successful candidate will be a part of a team that provides support to multiple organizations from a central location, with no travel requirements. This is an exciting position that supports a mission critical program with high visibility and a proven track record.What Sets You Apart:The role requires ten (10) years' experience as a DBE in programs and contracts of similar scope,type, and complexity is required. Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college oruniversity is required. Five (5) years of DBE experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.The Senior Database Engineer will provide technical expertise for existing databases supporting our applications. This person will translate requirements, assist with recommendations, analysis, and evaluation of improvements, optimization, development, and/or maintenance.This role will be responsible for the following:Provide support to existing database servers by performing routine maintenance to include Administration, patching, and system security compliance actions.
Maintain multiple database clusters and provide direct support to system administrators and developers by creating SQL queries and modifying existing queries to accommodate operational changes.
Create and modify stored procedures in existing databases as required by various development teams.
Must be familiar with Microsoft SQL Server and the MSQL Server Management Studio tool set.
Assist developers with designing databases to include database schema development and view design.
Familiarity with Microsoft Identity Manager, MS SQL server, GOTS database applications, database architecture.
Familiarity with Active Directory, CASPORT, Exchange, Skype, and SQL are desired.
The candidate must currently possess and maintain one of the following certifications:Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert - Database (MCSE - Database), or
Microsoft Certified IT Professional - MS SQL Svr (DBA 2008), or
IBM CASA Lotus Notes/Domino (LND), or
Any such equivalent as approved.
You Might Also Have:Personnel must be fully cleared. To be considered fully cleared, personnel must have a favorably adjudicated Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) within the last seven (7) years and/or have been enrolled in the Continuous Evaluation program.
