Ideal CandidateAt least 3 years of experience focused on design systems or 5+ years of design experience across various platforms (web, iOS, Android).
High design craft-spanning disciplines (visual, interaction, IA, UI) and prior work demonstrating a strong design process, clear insights, and problem solving.
Experience building and maintaining a design system at scale. You should have a portfolio/case study showcasing the same.
An understanding of accessibility principles and experience building products that are inclusive of users with varying abilities.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Brownie points: Experience with multi-brand design systems, internationalisation, localization.
Job ResponsibilitiesContribute to the ongoing enhancement of our design system: design, build, document, and maintain our library along with the Design System team. Take ownership of the design and evolution of our multi-platform design system.
Monitor, identify, and design solutions to system-related issues. Work with the team to manage and address the backlogs and roadmap of library features. Measure the impact of design system updates and iterate based on data and feedback.
Promote system usage and foster discussions with cross-functional teams to identify library challenges and needs. Work closely with developers to ensure seamless implementation of the design system. Partner with brand designers to ensure the design system is in alignment with our brand identities.
Clearly communicate system-level design decisions along with the rationale. Contribute to training/workshop sessions on system use and best practices. Actively participate in design working sessions to facilitate system usage. Coach junior designers and foster a culture of continuous learning and development.
Follow, contribute, and improve the existing design system processes. Assist in research activities to assess the health of the system and propose ways to improve system health as well as design system team efficiency. Be aware of latest industry trends and best practices.
