The Senior Designer [Bodywear] position is responsible for driving design and concepts of categories including swimwear, activewear, intimates, and sleepwear. This position will use exceptional design skills, knowledge of the current market and identifying trends to create innovative and commercially viable products from conception to production. This Senior Designer [Bodywear] position is responsible for bringing design solutions to life that adhere to marketing strategies and business goals. This position is comfortable making decisions and managing designers.
Essential Functions (Including but not limited to):Create a distinct vision for the brand's identity through seasonal drops and expanding on the brandsLead multiple projects from conception to completion in accordance with deadlines.Champion new ideas that will drive the creative presence of the brand forwardManage the creation of computer-aided design (CAD) presentations for internal use market presentationsOversee resources, such as color, fabric, and trim to standardize the look and appeal of offeringsManage lead time development by partnering with Product Development and Raw Materials teams to maintain deliverablesManage Women's Design Development Calendar including all internal and external calendars for multiple deliverablesDesign concepts based on merchandising plans, to answer specific use cases.Attend fittings and review prototypes.Responsible for communicating all necessary information for the technical packages.Manage style input in web-based PLMCollaborate with internal/external teams: daily communication with overseas partners and internal Design, Production & Product Development departmentsWork directly with merchandising on costing and cost targets.Perform any other duties as assigned in support of the company needs and operations.Qualifications/Requirements:College degree in fashion design or equivalent experience in related area and minimum of 6-8 years of design experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.Design experience in Women's Swim/Active/Intimates, experience using PLM preferred.High creativity and artistic abilities, an eye for color, texture and pattern with keen attention to detail and ability to visualize in three dimensions.Strong attention to details and accuracy.Proficient computer skills to include Microsoft Office, Photoshop, Adobe Creative Suite, email and internet.Supervisory experience (including leadership, team building, and delegation) leading and managing a creative team.Excellent written and verbal skills as required for effective interpersonal communication and collaboration with design, sales team, and productionExcellent interpersonal skills to clearly and effectively communicate the create vision, concepts, ideas and solutions to stakeholders and internal teams. Excellent organizational skills that reflect ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks and workload seamlessly and follow-up.Agility and openness to new opportunities and projects. Experience working in a fast-paced environment and ability to apply good work habits to effectively complete assigned tasks and contribute to the smooth operation of the company/department.Salary Range: $90,000 - $110,000 Workplace Type: On-site
