Senior Designer - Detailed Engineering - SED 5-8 Years

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Draughtsman with advanced proficiency in AutoCAD and a solid understanding of fabrication processes, machining, and forming. The ideal candidate will be responsible for producing detailed technical drawings, creating material layouts, and collaborating with the engineering team to optimize design processes. Proficiency in 3D modelling software like Inventor and experience in SAP will be an added advantage.
Key Responsibilities: Create detailed General Arrangement (GA) drawings, fabrication drawings, and part drawings in AutoCAD, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project specifications.Generate pressure vessel and heat exchanger drawings following industry standards and customer requirements.Develop plate ordering layouts for efficient material utilization and input drawings for precise plate cutting layouts, ensuring minimal waste and cost-effectiveness.Prepare detailed Excel BOMs for uploading into the SAP system, ensuring accurate materials tracking and inventory management.Use Inventor software to create 3D models of components and assemblies for better visualization and enhanced design accuracy.Maintain a daily time log to track and update all design activities and tasks performed.Collaborate with the engineering team to ensure all design deliverables meet project timelines and quality standards.Qualifications/skillset we require: ITI Mechanical Draughtsman/Diploma Degree in Mechanical Engineering.5-8 years of experience as a Draughtsman, preferably in the fabrication or manufacturing industry.Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD and Inventor for both 2D and 3D design work.Strong understanding of machining and forming processes and industry standards for pressure vessels and heat exchangers.Familiarity with SAP for BOM management and Excel for data analysis and documentation.Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in all aspects of technical drawing and design.Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to design challenges.Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment and collaborate with multiple departments.Good time management and organizational skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
