As a Senior Designer at Clair, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the user experience and visual identity of our products. You will take ownership of complex design challenges and lead initiatives that elevate our design standards. Your work will directly influence how users interact with Clair, ensuring a seamless, engaging, and effective experience.
What will you do at Clair? Conduct and synthesize user research to deeply understand user needs, behaviors, and pain points. Translate insights into actionable design strategies. Create detailed wireframes, prototypes, and workflows to test and iterate on design concepts, ensuring usability and alignment with user goals. Develop high-quality visuals and interfaces that enhance the look, feel, and usability of our products, aligning with Clair's branding and design guidelines. Provide mentorship to junior designers, fostering growth and skill development within the team. Partner closely with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to ensure designs are feasible, technically sound, and aligned with business objectives. Lead initiatives to enhance Clair's branding materials and overall visual identity. Maintain and evolve Clair's design systems to ensure consistency, scalability, and innovation across products. Qualifications 7+ years of experience in product design, UX/UI design, or a related field, with a strong portfolio showcasing your expertise, preferably in the fintech or financial services industry. Mastery of design tools such as Figma Experience in conducting and applying user research to inform design decisions. Exceptional ability to tackle complex design challenges with creativity and sound judgment. Strong interpersonal skills and experience working in cross-functional teams. Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal oversight, managing multiple high-impact projects effectively. Familiarity with accessibility standards and inclusive design principles. Additional Details Location: This is a hybrid position based out of New York City, you will be expected to come into the office three days a week. We are open to a remote role for the right candidate.
Compensation: The annual base salary for this role is $155,200.00 for New York City residents. The actual base pay within these ranges depends on many factors, such as education, skills and experience. Base pay is only one part of Clair's competitive total compensation package which includes benefits, perks and equity. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
